About Department

          For the all round development of the students, Music subject is introduced in the colleges and various types of Music-related programs are organized to develop interest in music subject. Music related workshops as well as Youth Festival, Indian group singing, welcome songs, national songs under the National Service Scheme and many other competitions are organized. Many such competitions like cultural programs and classical music weekend are organized. Music is used to develop personality, to get relief from many diseases, for better health, concentration, memory power, peace of mind, to avoid labor, to maintain unity and to create public awareness, etc. Music is used for many other purposes in human life. Thus, the subject of music has been offered in Smt. Kokilabai Gawande Mahila Mahavidyalaya for many years in Indian Music subject, B.A Part 1, B.A Part 2, B.A Part 3 and M.A Part 1,Part 2 Music. Many types of activities are carried out in the college through the subject of Indian music.
